That covers sizing the hardware for your workload, RAID and operating system or hypervisor setup, migrating data and roles from the old machine, and testing a restore before we call the job done.

Every server installation engagement follows our documented delivery process and is handed over with as-built documentation. It also qualifies for our annual maintenance program.

How we deliver it
- 01
Sizing
Processor cores, memory, storage type and capacity sized from your applications, user count and three to five years of growth, with software licensing rules checked.
- 02
Build and burn-in
Firmware updated, RAID configured, redundant power supplies and network links set up, and the server stress-tested before it carries live data.
- 03
Migration
Data, users, shares and applications moved in a planned window, with the old server kept available as a fallback until you sign off.
- 04
Backup and handover
Backups configured and a test restore performed. You receive the build document, administrator credentials and warranty details.
Buyer's checklist
What to check in any server quote
- Are there redundant power supplies and at least RAID 1 or RAID 10 for critical data?
- What is the warranty: next-business-day or 4-hour on-site, and for how many years?
- Is remote management (HPE iLO, Dell iDRAC or Lenovo XClarity) licensed and configured?
- Is the UPS sized to shut the server down cleanly in a power cut?
- Has a restore from backup actually been tested?

Which server brands do you supply?
HPE ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge and Lenovo ThinkSystem, supplied through authorized distribution with the manufacturer's warranty.
Tower or rack server: which do we need?
A tower server suits a small office with one or two servers and no rack. Once you have a rack, a UPS and more than a couple of machines, rack servers save space and are easier to cool, cable and service.
Can you migrate from our old server without losing data?
Yes. We copy and verify the data before the cut-over, move users and applications in a planned window, and keep the old server untouched as a fallback until everything is confirmed working.
